The Way is the Purpose
The work of the author Vit Madr, which is strictly based on mobile and computer applications and programs. It is a conceptual art, the output of which is a collage of applications.Individual works are often created for more than one year.They are unmistakable and their form and content depend on the intended concept, not on how the author would like.

I created during the year 2020
Using an application that determines the position of the Sun at a given moment, I recorded the position of the Sun every day at about noon.
Depending on where I was.
I recorded the position of the Sun from April 2018 to May 2019.
The location includes a map of where I was at the time.
Maybe I missed one day, most days are here.
The sun is a phenomenon, it is the bearer of life, it is a force.
The sun is shining, it is warm, it is important.

I created during the year 2019
Every night just before I fell asleep, I looked up with my cell phone. Using an application that showed me the night sky above me, I recorded the current night sky with constellations.
Each part of this collage has a night sky above me, depending on what time it was and where I was the night before I fell asleep.
The first sky is at the top left and is dated March 25, 2018 at 11:23 p.m.
The last one is at the bottom right and is dated 19.5.2019 at 23:01.
A total of 400 bedtime views up to the sky. Using the application to record 400x the current sky, including the constellations.
I missed only twenty days in all that time.

Kaleidoscope-01
From 2018-06-08, I started creating one kaleidoscope image every day using the app on my mobile phone. In the Czech Republic, we don't say kaleidoscope, we say krasohled, which can be roughly translated as "beautiful view". I created a total of 100 kaleidoscope images this way. I created the last one on 2018-09-26. So I created pictures for a total of 110 days. It follows that I missed 10 days. The forgetful me...

Since I am a photographer by profession, I tried to create an inverse version using another application. This inverted version is called Kaleidoscope-02.

Weather 2018-2019
Between the days from 2018-04-14 to 2019-06-18, every day around noon (when I didn't make it, I made the recording later in the afternoon) I read the weather in the mobile application in the place where I was. I scanned the visual information using the screen recording.
I have a total of 400 records. Since the mentioned interval contains more days - a total of 431 days, it can be seen that I missed 31 times. I just forgot to record the weather information. I didn't have an alarm on my phone, I tried to remember. But I missed several times.
I compiled the resulting 400 records into a collage that has 20 rows and 20 columns. The first entry from 2018-04-14 is at the top left and the last entry from 2019-06-18 is at the bottom right.
I also made an inverse version as a test and I quite like it. I also included it in my projects, it is called Weather 2018-2019-INV (The normal version is called: Weather 2018-2019).
